flitter!
Buzz buzz buzz! That's the sound of your network device receiving a social alert. Maybe you've poked around your device a little bit already, or maybe you haven't, but either way - you're about to have the chance to take part in one of Fable's social apps!
The notification chimes directly from Flitter (the fairy version of Twitter!) And this app is exactly what you would expect. Mostly nonsense scattered among hundreds and thousands of Fleets (Tweets) from the mystical creatures of Fable (and beyond!)
Your device pings you to the following post:
While as fun as they are kind, no one can deny that the Fae have a tendency to be quite mischievous. Giving them access to social media only seems to enhance these feelings! Looks like they want the new inhabitants of Fable - or just anyone who receives a magical notification - to post to Flitter with their spiciest take! Do you have certain opinions on how milky a cup of tea should be? Do you think sprinkles on cupcakes are essential or pointless? No matter the opinion, the Fae want to see it and strike up discussion!
Time to grab the popcorn.
Copy and paste the following code into your comment section to make a Flitter post:
Welcome to Fable's first network social! Please read this before participating!
This social post is open to everyone! This means that you do not have to be a member of Fable to participate! You can think of it like a fun TDM, since network socials like this will happen every month within the game.
We ask that non-Fable residents mark that they're not in-game in their subject line, and that Fable residents use the hashtag #fablenewbies in their posts so that the Fae can find them! After all, they wanted to see some exciting conversations brewing within Fable, but outsiders are more than welcome to chime in as well. Feel free to assume that Flitter is just as big of a dumpster fire as real Twitter. The code is only required for a toplevel, but replies can be written in a text font (like courier.)
Lastly, while we love IC banter, please remember to be civil and familiarise yourself with the game rules. Have fun!

Dear Flitter, I must politely decline indulging your spices, as my knowledge for using them is quite limited. I do, however, sincerely appreciate such a kind and generous offer, and hope that we may partake in exchanges in the future. Respectfully, Malleus Draconia, Prince of Briar V#fablenewbies

You're supposed to give us something a lot of people would disagree on! That's why they said give us your hot takes!
no subject
Dear Aether, I think I understand. In that case I dislike cake. There is simply too much of it. Many do not seem to share this sentiment, so I hope this shall suffice. Your friend, Malleus Draconia

But that is more than enough! People don't like cake and that's fine. Although, I thought you would have a more unpopular opinion.

Dear Hu Tao, a fine choice of name. In regards to cake, I would have thought it more common as well, but upon telling others they insist that I could have just stopped eating the cake, but that does not change the underlying issue that there is simply too much of it. Your Friend, Malleus Draconia

Dear Aether, before I was aware that you are Flitter I assumed you a Fae. One should always be courteous in dealing with my kind. Your Friend, Malleus Draconia

here comes aether number 5
You do not need to end your post with your name or your title.
It's like Mambo number 5 but everyone is Aether
I was unaware you too knew of Magicam. It seems to be quite popular on Sage's Island.
[He makes a genuine effort to obey this new knowlege that he needn't sign his title so formally. He tries really hard. But after maybe 30 seconds after sending the first half, he is compelled to fall back on his proper etiquette because it was bugging him. It just looked... wrong.]
Your friend, Malleus Draconia
a little bit of aether in my life...
My name is not Aether. It is Riddle Rosehearts, Housewarden of Heartslabyul.
Or have you forgotten who I am? No, do not tell me. Are you suffering from some kind of amnesia?
a little bit of aether by my side...
I apologize, I was under the impression that my friend Aether was Flitter. Am I to assume then, that you are Flitter and seeking spices?
Respectfully,
Malleus Draconia, Prince of Briar Valley
a little bit of aether's all i need
a little bit of aether's what I see
a little bit of aether in the ☀️
a little bit of aether all night long
a little bit of aether, here i am~
A little bit of Aether makes me your man
jams out for a moment or two...

i feel like this is missing a few things. like a courier should’ve hand-delivered this to me with a wax seal or something, not read off a screen??
also that’s not what they mean by hot takes, btw.
no subject
Dear Aether,
I would find such far more familiar, however my seal remains at home, and I have not thought to procure the proper wax without it. I am not certain where I would go about putting a seal on this device as well.
I would like clarification on what they mean then. btw.
Your Friend,
Malleus Draconia
no subject
DEFINITELY don't put wax on that.
iunno who that is, but the name's blue! also, you don't really need to address these? not if you're replying to the message you got. the whole point of these things is faster communication lines, so..
a 'hot take' is meant to be a controversial opinion, some more menial than others. for some, it's meant to stir trouble.
no subject
worry not, I have not told this device my address.
In light of this new information, I believe my hot take is that I do not like cake. There is simply far too much of it. No one seems to understand my point of view.
Sincerely,
Malleus Draconia
