flitter!
Buzz buzz buzz! That's the sound of your network device receiving a social alert. Maybe you've poked around your device a little bit already, or maybe you haven't, but either way - you're about to have the chance to take part in one of Fable's social apps!

The notification chimes directly from Flitter (the fairy version of Twitter!) And this app is exactly what you would expect. Mostly nonsense scattered among hundreds and thousands of Fleets (Tweets) from the mystical creatures of Fable (and beyond!)

Your device pings you to the following post:

New Fable villagers!!!!!! Give us ur most spicy take! GO!!! #fablenewbies

While as fun as they are kind, no one can deny that the Fae have a tendency to be quite mischievous. Giving them access to social media only seems to enhance these feelings! Looks like they want the new inhabitants of Fable - or just anyone who receives a magical notification - to post to Flitter with their spiciest take! Do you have certain opinions on how milky a cup of tea should be? Do you think sprinkles on cupcakes are essential or pointless? No matter the opinion, the Fae want to see it and strike up discussion!

Time to grab the popcorn.

Copy and paste the following code into your comment section to make a Flitter post:

Welcome to Fable's first network social! Please read this before participating!

This social post is open to everyone! This means that you do not have to be a member of Fable to participate! You can think of it like a fun TDM, since network socials like this will happen every month within the game.

We ask that non-Fable residents mark that they're not in-game in their subject line, and that Fable residents use the hashtag #fablenewbies in their posts so that the Fae can find them! After all, they wanted to see some exciting conversations brewing within Fable, but outsiders are more than welcome to chime in as well. Feel free to assume that Flitter is just as big of a dumpster fire as real Twitter. The code is only required for a toplevel, but replies can be written in a text font (like courier.)

Lastly, while we love IC banter, please remember to be civil and familiarise yourself with the game rules. Have fun!

You make a good point. And I would like to learn about them.. just, without endangering my dinner. Ideally.

Dear Tighnari,

I would be willing to offer my aide in such an endeavor. While I, myself, still have much to learn, I am more familiar with your kind than most Fae. It would not be the first time I helped humans navigate such situations.

Whether it be texting you how, or handling the negotiation myself, it would not be a difficult matter.

Sincerely,
Malleus Draconia, Prince of Briar Valley

Technically speaking I'm not human, but I'm not Fae either, though they have seemed very fond of my ears and tail.

But I appreciate it, though. It's probably better that you tell me how, I should learn to handle them myself.

Dear Tighnari,

Many Fae do become enthralled with things they find beautiful or pleasant, I suspect your ears and tail would fall into that category. Be careful that they do not get stolen.

In that case, invite me for a meal and I will happily share what I know. It may take a few visits though. There are many varieties of Fae, and all have different inclinations.

Sincerely,
Malleus Draconia, Prince of Briar Valley

Back up a moment.

Stolen?

Dear Tighnari,

Did you not think that with the power to gift such things to those without, that the Fae could not take from those with just as easily?

Sincerely,
Malleus Draconia, Prince of Briar Valley

Well when you put it that way, it seems quite obvious..

All right, I suppose those lessons of yours can't come fast enough. I'd rather keep my ears, thank you.
