flitter!
Buzz buzz buzz! That's the sound of your network device receiving a social alert. Maybe you've poked around your device a little bit already, or maybe you haven't, but either way - you're about to have the chance to take part in one of Fable's social apps!
The notification chimes directly from Flitter (the fairy version of Twitter!) And this app is exactly what you would expect. Mostly nonsense scattered among hundreds and thousands of Fleets (Tweets) from the mystical creatures of Fable (and beyond!)
Your device pings you to the following post:
While as fun as they are kind, no one can deny that the Fae have a tendency to be quite mischievous. Giving them access to social media only seems to enhance these feelings! Looks like they want the new inhabitants of Fable - or just anyone who receives a magical notification - to post to Flitter with their spiciest take! Do you have certain opinions on how milky a cup of tea should be? Do you think sprinkles on cupcakes are essential or pointless? No matter the opinion, the Fae want to see it and strike up discussion!
Time to grab the popcorn.
Copy and paste the following code into your comment section to make a Flitter post:
Welcome to Fable's first network social! Please read this before participating!
This social post is open to everyone! This means that you do not have to be a member of Fable to participate! You can think of it like a fun TDM, since network socials like this will happen every month within the game.
We ask that non-Fable residents mark that they're not in-game in their subject line, and that Fable residents use the hashtag #fablenewbies in their posts so that the Fae can find them! After all, they wanted to see some exciting conversations brewing within Fable, but outsiders are more than welcome to chime in as well. Feel free to assume that Flitter is just as big of a dumpster fire as real Twitter. The code is only required for a toplevel, but replies can be written in a text font (like courier.)
Lastly, while we love IC banter, please remember to be civil and familiarise yourself with the game rules. Have fun!

It's different if it's in the damn recipe.
Have you seen the things people put ketchup on?
Some people put it on mac and cheese apparently.
What the hell is the point?
[Someone's taste in food has set him off.]
no subject
LIKE THE BOX STUFF????
EWWWWW...
Who the heck does that?!
I can understand hot sauce, maybe even a little kewpie, but...you gotta add stuff to it!!
Not *just* the mac and cheese and the condiments!
Urrrgh...I feel sick just thinking about it.
no subject
You're putting hot sauce and kewpie on your mac and cheese??
Why??
no subject
Or, well...an improvised version of it, I think. ヽ(*・ω・)ノ;;;
It's a lot of leftovers kinda tossed in with the pasta, like chicken katsu pieces, frozen peas and broccoli, stuff like that. Then I put some hot sauce over it and the kewpie to kill the heat a little.
I can do spicy, but not like you.
Is that weird?
no subject
Oh.
It's American.
That explains it.
[That's... not an answer, Katsuki...]

And let's be honest, Bakugou-kun, there's a ton of flavor combinations that don't make sense in theory, but still TASTE good!! Like spiced cakes, salted ice cream and caramels, and cookies made with bacon bits and even potato chips.
There's even hot cocoa infused with chilis in certain parts of the world.
Besides, should you really judge ANYONE for their flavor preference when half the things you put in YOUR mouth could choke the devil himself?
[You and your outrageous levels of spice.]
no subject
Don't get all holier than thou on me, Cheeks.
You were right there with me shitting on ketchup on mac and cheese.
no subject
I shouldn't judge it, since I haven't exactly tried it, either. But the flavor combination in my head is just so unappealing. (>﹏<) Texture, too...
If I try it, will you give me 500 yen?
no subject
What the hell would I get out of watching you vomit?
Ask Dunce Face or Pinkie.
They're both dumb enough to offer you money to eat weird shit.
[There is a pause and he starts typing again.]
Also, dont undersell yourself.
Ask for 1000 yen.
no subject
And weird?? Besides, I'm probably the only one of the class who WOULDN'T vomit if they ate something weird. I haven't puked, even after using my quirk a lot, for literal months. Some weird flavor combo won't twist my stomach like that.
...But for 1000 yen, each, I could make it a challenge.
[Mina and Kaminari would be stupid enough to try and make her gag after eating something "gross". Honestly, if they really wanted to test her, just get her to eat a hot pepper or something - her spice tolerance is maybe only a 1 out of 10, maybe 2 at best.]
no subject
Some people are into that.
I'm not one of them.
But good luck with your new venture of parting idiots from their money.
If it's prosperous you owe me dinner.

No need for any competitions or whatever, just ask any time! I love to cook, and though I'm not as good as you, I can still make some tasty things! (o´▽`o)
My mama taught me all her family recipes. Not *too* many of them are especially spicy, but...I promise you'll LOVE the miso chicken katsu!!
Oh, oh, and the pork croquettes! And of course I can make fluffy, steamed rice to go with each. ♥♥♥
no subject
Damn, Cheeks, didn't expect you to be so eager to offer up a free meal.
Alright, let's do this.
When are you free?
no subject
Well, food brings people together, right? And like I said, I really love to cook!! Plus the fact that you're REALLY good at it too is kinda...
I dunno...motivating? Like, if you eat it and like it, I'll know I'm doing a good job!
I don't have much going on, really...so how about Sunday evening? I still have to get anything that may be missing.
no subject
...he doesn't text a lot, period.]
If you're looking for compliments, better be prepared to wow me.
Sunday works.
What's your menu plan?
no subject
[Give Ochako a minute or two to think, she's going through a few saved recipes and videos on her phone. When she finds one that looks easy and appetizing, she favorites it.]
GOT IT!!
Okay, I know you like spicy food, so I was thinking gochujang garlic tofu over rice!!
It's really simple but it tastes *great* and you can adjust the spice to your taste, so I can make it extra spicy for you. ♥
Maybe some kind of miso soup on the side? Depends on the ingredients we've got...idk if the cabbage is still good.
Lost this in the inbox.
Normally I'd say bring your spiciest.
But you're looking for feedback on the taste right?
If so, go mild so it doesn't drown out the other flavors.
[Is... is this becoming cooking lessons with Katsuki, now?]
No worries!! It happens, and I've been very brain tired lately myself.
Okay!! I'll be sure to do that! Then we can eat together and I won't feel like my insides are melting. (*´▽`*)b
Actually, I should also ask...you're not allergic to anything, are you, Bakugou-kun?
Or if there's any veggies, or things you don't like, I'll leave them out.
no subject
But that is absolutely what class 1a are to him. Shhh.]Weak tastebuds.
Someday we're putting them through training.
[Although friendship with him is uhhhh... sure an acquired taste because he's just Like That.]
No allergies and I'm not a picky eater.
I'll see you on Sunday.
no subject
...No thank you. („•ᴗ•„)
[Like hell is she "training" her tastebuds with someone like Bakugou who swallows hot magma for a living. There is no way. Ochako already has issues with nausea and stuff with her quirk, she's not risking damaging her throat getting sick over spicy food. O-Or the...other end...ahem.]
Thought so, but needed to make sure. Thanks again, Bakugou-kun!!
See you then~! ♥

Text > Action | lmk if this works c:
Still, getting certain ingredients is a little tricky, and she has to rely on what she saved up through her Work Study to get the more expensive stuff. But, when dinner time rolls around, she rolls up her sleeves and gets to cooking - a heavenly aroma of aromatics and different spices filling the kitchenette area of Heights Alliance as well as the idle sounds of sizzling, bubbling, and chopping. Maybe even a small whistle of a kettle going for tea.
People ask her what she's making, while the bolder of the bunch (Kaminari and Sero, mostly...and also Mina and Hagakure) try to sneak bites, earning them a hard slap on their hands or asses with a wooden spoon until they retreat with their tails between their legs. Ochako is humming lightly, plating up what she made and just about to call down her blond friend.]
Looks good!
He takes note of each and every choice she makes from the point where he enters. But doesn't comment. Only quietly observes. It's only after she's set the plates down safely and isn't holding anything when he actually speaks up to reveal his presence.]
Not off to a bad start. It smells good.
