[ a good thing he's had some time to get used to phones in reverie.. this one looks a little different, but the functionality is more or less the same. anyway! the feed opens in a small garden, outside of tighnari's cottage, where he's sitting on the freshly tilled earth, beneath his fruit trees. nevermind that blueberries generally grow on bushes not trees WHATEVER this is fable we do what we want. he seems to be enjoying the shade! ]

Ah - hello.

[ tighnari's tall, furry ears flick as he gets comfortable, sitting cross-legged with his tail curled at his side. ]

My name is Tighnari, I'm a botanist trained in plant medicine, so I thought I might as well make people aware of my presence. There's a lot of new and interesting plant life here, so I'd like to please advise you all not to eat anything you're not entirely positive is edible.

In fact, maybe don't eat anything you forage in the wild in general. But if you do, please seek out treatment immediately. Many plants and fungi are fine to consume, but still others can be potentially quite harmful. If you're unsure about anything you find, you're welcome to ask me. And for those of you finding yourselves with new.. appendages, I'm planning to produce many balms and oils that are safe for fur and feathers and scales, and can help you to keep them healthy.

If I were to venture into the wild with someone, and we were to try to forage some things... Should we bring them back to you, for study?

That would certainly help. It would be much easier to identify them in person, just always be careful not to take too much, of course. The natural wildlife will need to eat, as well.

[ only you can prevent forest fires!! ]

Have you had a chance to meet him yet, Tighnari?

Yes, we've met. He's a very nice young man, we have plans to build a park here together, if things go well; he wanted to attract some tanuki to play.

A park...? This is the first I've heard of such an idea, but it sounds wonderful. And something that he would very much like to do.

Thoma is a dear friend from home. I'm... very happy to see that he's just as quick to befriend others here as he is back home.

Well, we've yet to set it in stone, I'm sure he planned to let you know about it soon enough.

I'm glad to hear that you have good company, here. Having that little reminder of home can make things easier.

Yes, I agree. I've met a few others from Sumeru as well, here. Do you know them? Miss Collei and Miss Nahida.

[ it would be all too easy to blurt out that she's the dendro archon, but.. tighnari has no idea if she'd rather keep that private, here, so he buttons his lips. ]

- I met her recently as well. I have two other friends from Sumeru here, as well - this village is certainly going to be with with people from Teyvat..

I see... Both of them were very nice and helpful when we first arrived. I'll be sure to look out for them both.

Hmm. In that case, I should also let you know that there is another gentleman here from Inazuma. [ she hasn't met scaradouche yet rip ] His name is Arataki Itto.

Ah.. yes, Itto. We've met.

[ twice, now. tighnari's expression flattens, and he shakes his head, sighing. ]

He seems well meaning, but he certainly has no sense of self-preservation to speak of, does he?

[ Oh, dear... has Itto caused trouble for Mister Tighnari? Ayaka wonders if she needs to intervene... ]

That is my impression, as well. He's rather... Infamous, in our land, but I believe he's simply trying to get by for the sake of his... boys. His friends? [ gang ?? ? ] You should know that his kind are allergic to beans, and it seems Itto especially so.

Is that so? I'm not surprised. [ that he's infamous, that is. ] Allergic to.. beans? Hmm, why does that sound familiar..

[ he's likely read about oni more than once, in all of his history studies. ]
