NETWORK SOCIAL #4

network social #4
never have I ever!

It's time for a game of Never Have I Ever!

The rules of Never Have I Ever are simple: Players take turns listing potential experiences they've never had. If someone has done the action in question, they take a shot or a sip (or whatever other consequence you dream up). If no one has done the action in question, the person who posed the query takes a drink. The house drink of the night is Pixie Punch which may or may not cause any of the following effects: Standard drunk behaviour, giggling, flirting, oversharing, clinginess. (Pick your favourites!)

Not a drinker? No problem! There's plenty of juice and snacks to go around if you want to stay sober. The non-alcoholic punch and food, if sprinkled with fairy dust, may cause similar effects listed above (minus the drunk effects, of course.)

This game takes place on the Fable Network! You can reply in-person with action prompts if you imagine everyone is drinking in the same tavern, or reply with text-prompts if your character might be across the room from someone else. Sometimes it's easier to say things through text than it is face-to-face ... (Which could be for better or worse.)

Use the code below to participate!

Flowr is a brand new app on your device! Or is it...? Maybe it's been there the whole time. Either way, it's Fable's socialising app! The default fruit for the app is a strawberry (πŸ“) emoji, but what's stopping you from changing it to the fruit that you grow on your trees instead? πŸŽπŸŠπŸŒπŸπŸ«πŸ‘

Welcome to Fable's fourth network social! Please read this before participating!

Lastly, while we love IC banter, please remember to be civil and familiarise yourself with the game rules. Have fun!

That's very true. Nothing here quite resembles Sumeru City ... oh, how I'd love to take you there one time. It's marvellous! And I'm definitely not biased as a contributor to the city's architectural aesthetic, of course.

( Another drink. )

Ahh, I see! A family of strength! I'm impressed. I never grew up with any siblings, but my mother was an architect just like me.

I can't imagine why you'd be biased in any way. [Hilda giggles.] I'd love to be able to see it, someday. Maybe using our magical fairy dream powers or something.

[It makes sense to her, kinda.]

I have an older brother. But it goes beyond whether or not I have siblings. In FΓ³dlan, noble bloodlines matter. Like... way too much. The stuff some houses do to maintain those bloodlines is insane, especially if the bloodline has a Crest in it.

[Pause.]

Do you know what a Crest is?

[Of course he doesn't, Hilda.]

( Hopefully there will be some weird magicy opportunity for him to show Sumeru to Hilda. But in response to her question, he shakes his head. )

I haven't heard of a "Crest" ... I'm going to assume you're using the word in a way that describes something that isn't an emblem or a coat of arms symbol. ( Especially in the context of someone's "bloodline" ... )

It's like... a magical blessing thing from the gods? It runs in certain noble family bloodlines, and having a Crest is really, really valued. Trying to marry into a family with a Crest in its bloodline is a goal for some people, and some families will disown heirs without one in favor of younger siblings with one. It's... messy.

[She sighs.]

I have the Minor Crest of Goneril. My older brother doesn't have a Crest, but my family isn't insane so he's still the head of House Goneril. Which is good, because I want no part of the whole 'ruling a territory' thing.

( Kaveh widens his eyes. )

That does sound messy. We receive magical blessings from the Gods as well, back where I'm from. This blessing appears in the form of a Vision. ( Kaveh rotates his hip and shows her the green glass orb attached to his golden thigh garter. Not everyone with a Vision has a golden thigh garter. Kaveh is just extra. ) Although they can't be passed down genetically ... I hate to think what my world would be like if they could. The thought certainly makes me shudder.

( The comment about her family not being insane earns him a laugh. )

I am glad to hear that your family doesn't bend to society's demands. That's very noble of them, since I feel very strongly about equality within status among citizens.

We're not perfect, mind you. But overall I like to think we're a pretty good family.

[She looks at the Vision that's attached to the golden thigh garter, the latter of which she appreciates because it's extra.] You're not the first person to tell me that Visions are blessing from the gods of your world. He didn't seem to think much of them, though.

( There's a pang of pain he feels in his heart and a glimmer of sadness in his eyes. Family ... the one thing he lacks and wishes he had. Even still, he's glad Hilda can experience such a precious joy. )

There's nothing like family. Flaws and all.

( He quirks his eyebrows with interest at the Vision prompt, though. (He's also trying to resist traumadumping.) )

You've met another person from Teyvat? I wonder if I know them.

I couldn't resist

He had a big hat. I didn't get his name, so I'll just call him Hat Guy. He's over there.

[She points Hat Guy out in the crowd.]
