never have I ever!

It's time for a game of Never Have I Ever!

The rules of Never Have I Ever are simple: Players take turns listing potential experiences they've never had. If someone has done the action in question, they take a shot or a sip (or whatever other consequence you dream up). If no one has done the action in question, the person who posed the query takes a drink. The house drink of the night is Pixie Punch which may or may not cause any of the following effects: Standard drunk behaviour, giggling, flirting, oversharing, clinginess. (Pick your favourites!)

Not a drinker? No problem! There's plenty of juice and snacks to go around if you want to stay sober. The non-alcoholic punch and food, if sprinkled with fairy dust, may cause similar effects listed above (minus the drunk effects, of course.)

This game takes place on the Fable Network! You can reply in-person with action prompts if you imagine everyone is drinking in the same tavern, or reply with text-prompts if your character might be across the room from someone else. Sometimes it's easier to say things through text than it is face-to-face ... (Which could be for better or worse.)

The creature I can turn into is called a Canterwit ... they're fairy animals who grow flowers. I'd show you my features as one if it's not super weird to do in the middle of a bar. I'm still not used to being so open about it.

I don't think it would be very weird, not in a village like this. Such things are relatively normal, here.

( A veil of blue light envelopes Lacy for a moment before her form changes entirely - she emerges as a hooved creature with large feathered wings and hydrangeas growing on her antlers, tail and in her fur. She flutters her wings and lands with all four hooves on the wooden floor of the tavern, while only around the size of small deer. )

Gonna get some strange looks, aren't I?

[ ah! tighnari looks absolutely enraptured, a smile spreading across his face. ]

Honestly? I think you'll fit in just fine, here.

[ she's so cute, ah.. he's reaching into his djellaba to draw out his well-worn notebook. ]

Would you.. mind so much if I sketched your likeness?

Oh! Wow, okay!

( She stands still with her wings outstretched. )

You a drawer, then? ( Yeah, she's one of Those People. )

[ A DRAWER ]

I think I'd consider myself more of a table, possibly a chaise lounge.

anyway he smiles, ears perked, and quickly begins to sketch. ]

( She laughs! )

Hahaha! Can't wait to see what you end up drawin'! If you want a new pose or something, just tell me!

This pose is perfect, thank you.

[ his sketching is quick, at least, and soon enough he turns the notebook toward her. it's quite a nice sketch, capturing her likeness and shape decently, with a few notes scrawled on the side in neat, cramped handwriting. ]

You called yourself a Canterwit, yes?

( She nods! )

Yeah! There's some science name I think ... Oh! "Flos Artifex"!

Flos Artifex.. [ he echoes, while scribbling that down. ]

My people are called Valuka Shuna - or Vulpes Zerda if you're using the Science Name.

Ooooooo! Cool! It's really nice meetin' someone here who's not fully human!

I understand. I'm quite used to being surrounded by humans, so it is a little novel to not feel so much as if I stand out, here.

( She figures she'll make idle chatter while she models. )

So, what else do you do?

Me? Well, I'm a botanist, and I run an apothecary, here. Speaking of which, we carry products to promote the health of fur and feathers, if you're ever in need.

[ scritch scratch, scritch scratch. he sits back to inspect his work from a distance. ]

Ready?

Really! A botanist! That's dead good! Well if you're ever in need of hydrangeas for any stuff, you know who to call.

Ahh let's have a look, then!

[veardant]

[ ta-da! tighnari presents his sketch; it's actually quite good! ]

Hydrangeas specifically?

[ he'd noticed them in her mane, but.. ]

( Gasp! )

Oh my god. Wow! Did you draw that just now? ( STRIKE 1. She walks closer to take a better look. )

You could work for Disney! ( STRIKE 2 .... ) I can't even draw a stickman! ( STRIKE 3......... )

You've got no Disney in your world?! My god, how do you even survive!

( SORRY SHE'S LIKE THIS, BUT SHE KEEPS GOING: )

Disney's like ... films? ( She pronounces the word 'film' like there's a u in it. Fillum. ) Animated stories about all sorts! Loads of magic and fairytales. You must know Cinderella, right? Or Beauty and the Beast! Them's the classic ones!

I'm familiar with faerie tales, though I've never heard of those. What's a fillum?

No films?!

( This apparently shocks her so much that she transforms back. )

My god! First priority! I've gotta find a telly, and get some films! Then we can have a massive sleepover and I can show you what you've been missin' out on! ( She hums in thought. ) I wonder what kinda films you'd like ... Do you read any books? What kinda books?

[ it's like she's speaking another language what the fuck is a telly ]

Books? Oh, I read plenty of books, usually reference materials on botany, and academic articles.

[ .. nothing like disney. ]

( oh no .... that sounds so incredibly un-disney............. )

I'll just warrant a guess that the books are about real plants and not magical ones that sing ...

.. singing plants? I've never heard of such a thing, but it sounds fascinating.
