It's time for a game of Never Have I Ever!

The rules of Never Have I Ever are simple: Players take turns listing potential experiences they've never had. If someone has done the action in question, they take a shot or a sip (or whatever other consequence you dream up). If no one has done the action in question, the person who posed the query takes a drink. The house drink of the night is Pixie Punch which may or may not cause any of the following effects: Standard drunk behaviour, giggling, flirting, oversharing, clinginess. (Pick your favourites!)

Not a drinker? No problem! There's plenty of juice and snacks to go around if you want to stay sober. The non-alcoholic punch and food, if sprinkled with fairy dust, may cause similar effects listed above (minus the drunk effects, of course.)

This game takes place on the Fable Network! You can reply in-person with action prompts if you imagine everyone is drinking in the same tavern, or reply with text-prompts if your character might be across the room from someone else. Sometimes it's easier to say things through text than it is face-to-face ... (Which could be for better or worse.)

[ Sure. That's it. It's the peaches. Give him a minute because he needs to look at the app for a while longer as he puzzles out what he is seeing before he allows his gaze to flicker upwards then it lowers back down to his phone's screen. ]

Is that right?

[ Knew it. Those peaches really are so odd. ]

[ All things considered, Albedo's pretty nonchalant about it. Interesting times in their new lives. ]

Well, I suppose there is an explanation for everything but since you haven't offered one you're either waiting for a direct question or you plan to avoid the subject. Oh. My apologies. I haven't welcomed you yet, I was merely taken aback by your presence.

[ And that extreme senior status... ]

Well, it is good to see you after all this time, I was afraid we wouldn't be able to correspond any longer. Although I do wonder given how we've come to arrive here how that functions. Do you suppose back in Teyvat we're still exchanging letters?

But let me not bore you with suppositions since you've taken an interest in this game. Does preparing for cold weather count as being bothered by it?

I'm afraid it's the latter for now. Though, I do appreciate the thought behind your approach.

I'll consider that as part of your welcome.

[ Albedo has been running into a good portion of familiar faces, though. More than he has anticipated; he would have had concerns about how things might be going back home if he wasn't sure of how they were 'brought' here. But, it will be all fine.

That said, he doesn't take issue with Xingqiu being surprised at his status either. His friend seems to treat him just fine despite the reveal of ancient seniority- ]

I'd hardly consider those hypotheticals as boring.

In fact, I imagine that we still are trading letters, if we are to believe what has been said about 'how' we were brought here. That, along with my arrival here, I consider still to be very fascinating and new to me.

[ There is no reason for him to further push the issue knowing well he wouldn't get an answer and that may only sour the friendship they have formed. Mostly, he does consider that despite this grand revelation Albedo is the same person that was willing to collaborate with him for so long and readily accepted to assist him not only in providing artwork for his novel but also during his time of need during The Irodori Festival. Knowing his age now doesn't change their past.

Although it does remain a curious thing admittedly... ]

Well, if that's the case, then I would be willing to discuss it further...

However, I do believe there is a game for us to play. So then, I would have to say while I prefer the milder climate of Liyue if prepared I wouldn't necessarily be bothered by cold weather. Hm. Perhaps that's a noncommittal answer... what if we both take a drink?

[ Albedo simply gives a small nod; the answer is good enough for now. In retrospect, it's times like these he feels fortunate enough in the first place. To the point where he knows that easily events could have gone where he ended up more in lack of such bonds than not.

In order not to take anything for granted, it is a fact he must remain cognizant of. Always.

At the follow-up, though... ]

I think that is a fair compromise. I haven't been indulging much either way. Perhaps I may end this game having more to drink then not after all.

[ Albedo has remained a bit lucky in that, hah. He pointedly takes a sip of his drink, though. ]

[ Xingqiu's own fortunes seem to vary when it comes to this game. Some people are keen to exploit the lack of concrete rules about what information can be used to play — him included when he feels he has no choice but to use such tactics. In the end, it doesn't have much of an effect on him when he opts out of drinking alcoholic beverages, it's mostly to save himself from any possible future embarrassing experiences.

With that agreed upon, he also takes a drink. ]

If you're uncomfortable with drinking, I don't mind foregoing that aspect... Most of these activities are meant to cater towards bonding, so I don't believe anyone would mind if we skip that portion of the game.

Let's see now... Never have I ever... avoided the opportunity to skip a full meal.

Perhaps that's silly to admit.

[ Albedo certainly has gone out for drinks before, so he believes he has a fairly solid tolerance. Though, depending on how many rounds he goes through the game properly...well, that might certainly change.

While it might be interesting to explore to see where his limits begin and where they end, perhaps it is a bit too soon with the alcohol, so he sets it aside. ]

We can forego it for now. As even thought I have just arrived, nothing seems to demand that it a necessity.

[ And he trusts in Xingqiu's judgment here. Though...the one he brings forth, makes him give pause. ]

...I will admit to having skipped a certain amount of full meals due to work and another reason. I believe it's healthy for most people not to, but I happen to have a relatively small appetite, which can make it a challenge. One I'm not inclined to attempt conquering.

In light of that, it doesn't seem too silly to admit that sort of thing.

[ Often enough his family hosts events, and other celebrations, he never tested himself against alcoholic beverages despite wine being readily available. Of course, it wouldn't do for someone like him to attempt to push boundaries when many important guests were in attendance. Mostly, he would rather not make a fool on himself. Yet, this does leave him to wonder about his own limitations and his reaction to being inebriated.

And yet even now, he isn't considering consuming alcohol and not so much in an attempt to maintain his public image. Once again it is the thought that he would prefer to avoid embarrassing himself that keeps him away from drinks. So it's been regular old juice for him. ]

Exactly. Besides, there are enough people already drinking for us.

[ But returning to the game, he can't help a smile when what he admitted isn't found silly. Of course, that is only half of the information so that may make a difference... ]

Well, if we're being honest about why we skips meals... Much like yourself, I don't have much of an appetite but there are times when I will forego a meal so that I can eat some baked goods... Not that is't condone but on the rare ocassion I can manage then I'll opt to do so.

Albedo hasn't exactly been checking in on everyone in the entire room, but by this time he has made enough conversation that he can count on more than one hand the amount of people actively drinking. Indeed, let them shoulder the burden of alcoholic beverages to the rest.

At the mention of the baked goods aspect, Albedo can't help a little smile from appearing on his face. ]

I can actually see the merits to temporarily skipping some meals in order to partake in a baked good or two. Of course, I understand that it isn't something you would do regularly, but I do also happen to have a soft spot for sweets. Even if not all baked goods are necessarily sweets.

It's actually kind of a pity that they hadn't thought to have some dessert with the drinks, but...ah, perhaps I'm being a bit greedy.

I do wonder if I spoke the next phrased as, 'Never have I ever disliked sweets', it would or wouldn't be something that would apply to you?
