It's time for a game of Never Have I Ever!

The rules of Never Have I Ever are simple: Players take turns listing potential experiences they've never had. If someone has done the action in question, they take a shot or a sip (or whatever other consequence you dream up). If no one has done the action in question, the person who posed the query takes a drink. The house drink of the night is Pixie Punch which may or may not cause any of the following effects: Standard drunk behaviour, giggling, flirting, oversharing, clinginess. (Pick your favourites!)

Not a drinker? No problem! There's plenty of juice and snacks to go around if you want to stay sober. The non-alcoholic punch and food, if sprinkled with fairy dust, may cause similar effects listed above (minus the drunk effects, of course.)

This game takes place on the Fable Network! You can reply in-person with action prompts if you imagine everyone is drinking in the same tavern, or reply with text-prompts if your character might be across the room from someone else. Sometimes it's easier to say things through text than it is face-to-face ... (Which could be for better or worse.)

I haven't been around for too long so I don't know everyone, but you don't look familiar.

I've only just arrived, so I'm still getting used to everything. I hardly know anyone yet, but I'm eager to become better acquainted with my new neighbors.

It's taken me some time to adjust. Normally I wouldn't even be at these kinds of gatherings, but it's been fun.

[A night of fun he's going to have a lot of regrets over and probably hermit for a while BUT HE'S GETTING OUT THERE!!]

I'm glad you decided to join in, then. What made you decide to come?

[ Obviously, she has no idea how out of character this is for Eustace in particular, but she smiles and leans on her elbow, just a bit closer. ]

I understand wanting a little peace and quiet, too, of course.

[There's a goodnatured grin as he swirls his glass.]

Hmmmm, just felt in the mood for it.

It's the same for me. I thought a gathering like this would be a good way to meet people. Seems I was correct!

[ Then after a beat, because the alcohol is really kicking in or else she would never ask this. ... Probably never. ]

I know this is forward, but... may I touch your ears?

[flamekthunder]

[Oh? Normally he'd be more reticent and wouldn't allow it, but given his current mood and having several drinks, he just grins.]

Sure, go ahead.

[And lowering his head towards her so she can easily reach them. They'll feel soft and velvety, as if she's petting real wolf ears.]

[ Dorothea almost seems hesitant at first, but she reaches out to carefully stroke the offered ears. Oh, Goddess, they're so soft? It's honestly wonderful, and the way she touches his ears is so gentle that it borders on reverent. She has no desire to hurt him, even accidentally, so her fingertips are light against his fur.

After a few moments, she decides that's enough. Wouldn't do to overstep, so she withdraws her hands. ]

[Although only a small handful of people have ever been allowed to pet his ears, Eustace doesn't actually mind it all that much. If anything, it's like when someone runs their hand through their hair or scratch their head, so it feels quite nice when done right. And fortunately, Dorothea is using just the right touch to make his ears twitch just once before he's visibly relaxing.

Ah... Yes... So nice...

If he had a tail it would be wagging. Which would also mortify him once this is over so probably a good thing he doesn't.]

Mm... No problem.

[Just going to lift his head almost sleepily, and give her a contented smile.]

It felt nice, thanks.

[ Is Dorothea actually a bit smitten right now?

Yes. Yes, she is. Her face is flushing a soft shade of rosy pink all across her cheeks and the bridge of her nose.

She's also drunk, so she leans forward to present her own ears. They're, you know, dainty human ears, adorned with a pair of gold earrings that sparkle with green gems. ]

It's only fair.

[And he is completely oblivious, instead just staring at her ears as if it's the most fascinating thing in the world. Even if he has seen them a million times and has actually had to handle a few. But it was always if assisting in first aid or something similar, never just outright touching one.

So while normally he would refuse, he'll just reach out without a second thought to first poke her ear and then kind of. Rub it a little. Not too hard, but it's a firm hand.

Whoa.......]

It's.....rubbery.

[Yes that is exactly what a man should say about a woman's ear—]

[ ... Well, that's not how she imagined that interaction playing out. ]

[Continuing to stare and feel with extreme fascination, like this was the coolest shit in the world.]

...Earrings are nice.

[And then a weird thought occurs to him but he just keeps that to himself.]

That's good, then. My ears seem so mundane compared to yours, though.

[ Then he mentions her earrings and she grins, blushing more. ]

You think so? This is my favorite pair. The green stone really complements my eyes, don't you think?

[Eyes...

There is some intense staring as he looks at her eyes. Then her earrings. Back to the eyes. And then the earrings.

And then—]

What would look good with red?

[He just blurts that right out without a second thought.]

Hmm? Red eyes...? Ah, well, rubies and garnets are both red, and they look especially lovely in gold settings.

[ Ahh, that's disappointing, but she understands. ]

Do you need a gift for a special someone?

Hold on, he's suddenly going to turn scarlet as he sits back, waving his hand as if trying to dismiss it all while the other covers his face. Aahh AAHHHHH]

[ Well that is certainly quite the reaction. The gentleman dost protest too much, she thinks. ]

Ohh, I see. A gift for someone that you'd like to be your special someone, but she just isn't yet.
