never have I ever!
It's time for a game of Never Have I Ever!
The rules of Never Have I Ever are simple: Players take turns listing potential experiences they've never had. If someone has done the action in question, they take a shot or a sip (or whatever other consequence you dream up). If no one has done the action in question, the person who posed the query takes a drink. The house drink of the night is Pixie Punch which may or may not cause any of the following effects: Standard drunk behaviour, giggling, flirting, oversharing, clinginess. (Pick your favourites!)
Not a drinker? No problem! There's plenty of juice and snacks to go around if you want to stay sober. The non-alcoholic punch and food, if sprinkled with fairy dust, may cause similar effects listed above (minus the drunk effects, of course.)
This game takes place on the Fable Network! You can reply in-person with action prompts if you imagine everyone is drinking in the same tavern, or reply with text-prompts if your character might be across the room from someone else. Sometimes it's easier to say things through text than it is face-to-face ... (Which could be for better or worse.)
Use the code below to participate!
Flowr is a brand new app on your device! Or is it...? Maybe it's been there the whole time. Either way, it's Fable's socialising app! The default fruit for the app is a strawberry (๐) emoji, but what's stopping you from changing it to the fruit that you grow on your trees instead? ๐๐๐๐๐ซ๐
Welcome to Fable's fourth network social! Please read this before participating!

We alternate between keeping our socials public and private, and this month's one is private!
Lastly, while we love IC banter, please remember to be civil and familiarise yourself with the game rules. Have fun!

The elbow would have normally been smacked away, but here? He just laughs goodnaturedly.]
Part of it.
[Another mysterious grin. He is a man of many talents, but Hector isn't too far off the mark for his particular specialties.]
Can't say much more or I'd have to kill you.
[He's joking.
Probably.]
no subject
Fair enough.
[ Leans casually on whatever is nearby. idk. a table. ]
Really, though, never? Not even before you started working?
[ ... ]
Steady relationship?
no subject
None.
no subject
[ There's actual disbelief in his voice.
He thinks for a moment. ]
No interest?
no subject
[A wry grin as he lifts his glass to take a casual sip, though there is a notable dim in his strangely friendly atmosphere.]
Had other priorities.
no subject
Fair enough.
[ He clears his throat, lets the subject drop. And when he senses the dim, he takes it upon himself to keep the game going. ]
Never have I ever had white hair.
[ DRINK UP, RU. ]
no subject
But he just looks up at that ridiculous prompt and snorts.]
Really?
[AND TAKES THE SHOT it's a good thing these drinks are actually good.]
Bit cheap.
no subject
I'm pretty sure the point of the game is to get other people to drink.
no subject
[Two of them can play at that game.]
Never have I ever had facial hair.
no subject
Well played. [ SWIG! ]
Never have I ever had...erune ears.
no subject
Never have I ever had human ears.
[This is going in such a stupid direction, but Eustace can hold his alcohol well.]
no subject
SWIG. ]
Never have I ever been over six feet tall.
[ This is actually a lie. But who's here to tell on him? No one. ]
no subject
Jealous?
[Smirks as he takes another shot.]
Never have I ever had to tie my hair up.
[Just a guess with the longer hair Hector has.]
no subject
He whips his head to the side at that. Fair. SWIG. ]
Never have I ever had to walk my dog in the morning.
no subject
[Takes the shot. Gladly.]
no subject
[ ... ]
I'd walk my bear in the morning, though.
no subject
...
May it may not be jealous, too—]
You have a bear? Why?
no subject
He laughs. ]
Why not? He's my buddy, and I love him.
[ He glances over his shoulder like he might be there butโah, right. He's not here. ]
no subject
[Pausing on the game, the whole bear thing is interesting.]
no subject
[ Hector seems to relax a little bit, his expression shifting into something more natural. ]
Found him out on an excursion with my dad and some others when I was a kid. We got really attached and he's been by my side ever since.
[ He thinks for a moment... Man, the shit that bear has seen. ]
My parents weren't going to let me keep him, but they ultimately decided it was better than me stealing the neighbors' cats.

A bittersweet, nostalgic feeling washes over him as he listens, and he idly turns the glass in his hands.]
...Glad you were able to convince them. It's not a very usual animal to choose, but a formidable one once friended.
Is he here in this world?
no subject
No, sadly. I wish he was here with me, but I think he's seen enough.
[ He'll probably ask for him back anyway. Especially if it's just a...dream world type thing.
His smile widens as he looks back up at Eustace. ]
Will you tell me about your dog now?
no subject
[A fond smile as he thinks about the doberman.]
He found me.
[A light chuckle as he recounts that day.]
Truth is... I love dogs. Raised a wolf cub once when I was a kid. [There's that flicker of bittersweet nostalgia before he continues.] But they were always afraid of me... Intimidated, probably. Over the past couple of years, with some help I managed to get close to them again, but most are still wary.
But with Valo... We happened to see a dog competition and we're just watching when he appeared at my side. We learned afterward from his trainer that he used to live with an elderly couple until they passed... And I was the first one he willingly approached.
I didn't think I was a good fit with my job and fear of him becoming afraid, but he refused to leave me. He even helped rescue a dog when a monster attacked.
That's why I named him Valo.
[For "valor."]

A soft smile crosses his face, reminded of his own daughter. ]
You know it's going to be a special bond when they pick you. [ He speaks from experience. He gives the tiniest sigh. ] You're lucky. That's rare.
no subject
[A swirl of his glass as for a moment as he appears more like his usual self before there's that...not so usual soft smile appears and he looks back up at Hector.]
So you really are around animals a lot.
